Teleradiology sits at the convergence of technology and healthcare. It represents a concept, a process, a workflow and a solution to many of the problems that face those of us who practice the specialty of radiology, which would otherwise prevent us from achieving our fullest potential in our specialty and thwart us from attaining our patient care goals and our academic aspirations. And its success story the world over symbolizes the power that the information age has to transform our lives, and our health.
