Quality and Safety in Radiology

Teleradiology Solutions is a Joint Commission accredited ambulatory care healthcare organization. Joint Commission Standards deal with organizational quality of care issues and the safety of the environment in which care is provided. We are committed to delivering safe, high-quality care in compliance with nationally established Joint Commission standards.

Licensing And Credentialing Services

We complete the licensing and credentialing verification required by the Joint Commission standards before our radiologists begin serving you. Our credentialing department can reduce or eliminate the time and expense in paperwork credentialing by reducing the time and completion of primary source verification.

You have the choice to expedite our credentialing services by agreeing to rely on our Joint Commission approved physician credentials. Our physicians can begin to serve a facility as soon as technically possible with this credentialing agreement in place. This Joint Commission credentialing agreement also allows access to our staff of exceptionally trained radiologists in many subspecialties.

Protocols And Standards For Quality Assurance

We follow ACR protocols and standards for Quality Assurance on our radiology reports. All the discrepancies are peer-reviewed by our Quality Control Committee. Any discrepancies in the findings along with the original radiologist’s report are scored based on American College of Radiology Peer Review Scoring System.

In case of any discrepancy identified from the on-site radiologist, a discrepancy alert is generated. The discrepancy points along with relevant reports (Current report and images; final On-Site Radiologist Report; follow-up reports and images etc.) are provided to the radiologist who had performed the read.

ACR Radpeer – Process

Teleradiology Solutions is subscribed to Radpeer. At least 5% of the studies reported by each of our radiologists are peer-reviewed by other radiologists in the group. Peer Review is conducted on a random sample of all the modalities including XR, CT, MRI, US, and NM studies.

This data is shared with our clients when requested as part of the FPPE/OPPE for the radiologist group.

Rigorous Data Collection with Reporting of Our Quality Metrics to Our Clients

Annual QA data/summary is tracked diligently. Depending on the client’s requirement, the QA team e-mails the Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly Quality Metrics to individual clients. This data is also used by our clients for Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE) and Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) purposes.

Analysis of Data with Research and Publication in the Scientific Literature

Dr Anjali Agrawal, our Staff Radiologist, has conducted original research on the subject of Quality Assurance and published an article in the scientific literature.
